Studio 28 or Louxor: planning a screening

A neighbourhood cinema can become a full cultural stop if you choose the film as carefully as the building. Studio 28 is on rue Tholozé on the hill; Louxor is at 170 boulevard de Magenta in the 10th, near Barbès. They mean different arrival and return journeys.

The short answer

What matters before you go.

Open the cinema programme, then check date, language, subtitles and purchase method. VO means original version; it does not guarantee English subtitles. Studio 28 states it has no adapted PMR access: resolve step-free needs before booking.

Action plan

The route,
step by step.

Times and order are guideposts. Always adapt the visit to crowds, actual access and your group’s energy.

01

Choose the film

Compare screening, running time and any discussion. A film title on an old page is not today’s programme. Start from the cinema’s current page and check the full date.

02

Understand labels

VO, VF and VOST describe versions but do not always specify every language relevant to your group. Read the screening details or ask the cinema. For a child, also check any listed age restriction.

03

Choose the right purchase

Check your pass or subscription terms. Louxor states that UGC Illimité does not allow online reservation on its site. Do not assume an unavailable purchase option means a cancelled screening.

04

Plan arrival and departure

Allow time to find the entrance and collect a ticket under your purchase terms. Afterward, adapt your walk to weather and time: a film can replace a late climb rather than automatically precede one.

Useful trade-offs

What really changes the visit.

01

Specific accessibility

Ask about the auditorium hosting your screening. General cinema information does not replace confirmation of the route you need.

02

Photographs and screenings

Our Louxor photograph shows an entrance detail. It is neither a film still nor a guarantee of unrestricted access to every auditorium.
