Editorial transparency
How to read this guide and its sources
This independent guide connects visiting advice with public sources and venue websites. It does not represent the City of Paris or listed venues. A directory listing is not certification, an on-site inspection or a commercial recommendation.
Three source types
- Venue website: useful for programmes, menus, ticketing and admission conditions. A link alone does not guarantee that every detail is current.
- Institutional source: City of Paris, town hall, tourism office or cultural institution. Seasonal hours and restrictions need checking for your date.
- OpenStreetMap: a 22 August 2026 mapping extract, enriched using its activity tags. The extract is not recent confirmation that every business is open. Contributors can correct records; each imported listing links to its source page.
Dates, coverage and deduplication
The editorial revision date records a site change. An individual check date records consulting a source for that listing. The mapping extract date remains separate. Coverage includes the hill, Paris 18th and nearby addresses: always check the street, area and source map before planning a journey.
Exact name-and-address duplicates and identical OpenStreetMap objects are merged while preserving useful categories and sources. Branches with the same name at different addresses remain separate. A vacant-shop activity is not presented as an open business.
Images and marks
Atmosphere visuals illustrate themes and routes. They should not be interpreted as documentary photographs of a specific hotel, restaurant, product or event. Marks beside links identify the source and do not imply a partnership. A typographic marker is used when a suitable mark is unavailable.
Documentary photographs include captions, authors, licences and dates listed by their sources. They are resized and converted to WebP. An old image establishes neither current access nor today’s programme. The Halle Pajol archive explicitly shows the site before renovation. See photographs and credits
Languages and missing information
Editorial content is available in French and English. Proper names and addresses are preserved. Legacy paths in other languages redirect to English; they are not translations. Missing hours, rankings, reviews, prices, phone numbers or facilities are not inferred from a venue name.
Reuse and references
Imported mapping data comes from OpenStreetMap and is attributed to its contributors under the ODbL licence. Factual data and media have separate rights: a listing does not transfer reuse rights for source images or marks. © OpenStreetMap contributors — ODbL
